Quick Notes From the Sunshine State Asylum

While I'm heading into Post #500 (this one will be #493), I feel the need to pass along a few good news, bad news, WTF news from the great state of Florida.

Okay, so.  For the seven readers... well actually for the seventeen readers now that I've got some Crooks & Liars audience members... still keeping an eye on this site, any suggestions for Post #500?

Maybe it is being hunted BY aliigators, hope, hope?

The GOP isn't that crazy or suicidal. Although given the Republicans' inability to shoot straight when hunting, a sizable number of accidents were bound to occur.

Did you see the story about dengue fever in Florida? And the one about their very own strain of antibiotic-resistant TB? (And oh by the way, am I the only person that didn't know TB kills like a million people a year?)

Does it have to be about "Florida Weird" stuff, or can it be any topic? How about being a librarian in Florida? Do you have some patron stories that are safe for you to tell, publically?

Tenar, this was just a omnibus way of tying in a few Florida news of topics - libraries fighting for funding, Rick Scott being a jerk, etc. - I cover on this site.
I can tell some stories about the occasional library patron, but only in the proper context or situation. I really shouldn't tell anyone about that one patron who came in to Beach branch years ago who... nah, I shouldn't....
