Anniversary: Appomattox Surrender Day

April 9th.

We need to keep remembering this day as Appomattox Surrender Day until the rest of the Dixiecrat/Far Right/Confederate Dead-Enders realize they LOST, THEY GOT THEIR ASSES KICKED...

Hear, hear! We need to keep emphasizing this, because -- as your linked post from last year points out -- the spirit of the Confederacy still lingers on. It's an especial irony that what was once the party of Lincoln has now become the party of Confederate-flag wavers.

We also need to keep emphasizing that the secession and the Confederate cause was all about slavery, as their own statements at the time prove. The lie that the Confederacy was about something other than slavery is growing entrenched in some quarters. It must never go unchallenged.

I've never seen so many reminders of this day on social media as I have today. It seems to me to be a sign that liberals have had enough and are losing their tempers.
