The Republican-controlled Senate voted today to discuss whichever godforsaken bill to kill Obamacare they think has the best chance of getting through the Reconciliation process.
This is just one step closer to their goddamn agenda of getting their goddamn tax cuts for the uberrich at the cost of kicking 18-32 million Americans off healthcare coverage.
They know. The Republicans have to know that what they're pursuing is unpopular with Americans. They have to know that what they're pushing for will take away affordable health care for millions within one year.
And yet, they will.
For a goddamn tax cut.
To kill something with Obama's name on it, as though they can cross his name out of the history books.
If there's any consolation, the Senate seems tied up in discussing which bad bill to pursue: the hideous BCRA, the toxic Repeal-Delay, or the horrifying House AHCA bill.
You can do what you can to make your voice heard: Call both Senators in your state. If the Senator is Democratic, thank them and ask they do everything they can to stop any repeal of Obamacare. If the Senator is Republican, be polite but firm and let them know that you oppose kicking millions of Americans off affordable healthcare.
Still need to say this. What the Hell, Republicans. What the Hell drives you all to be sadists towards your fellow citizens?
