Shit.
(note: I had to update the YouTube clip)
That was a speech.
Everybody who watched it are talking like they've just had the best sex of their lives.
Obama quoted Reagan, and Obama quoted Teddy Roosevelt's "Man In the Arena", and he could do this because the Republican Party has tossed both of those GOP icons to one side so they could follow a con artist like Trump.
Obama gave a speech so good, even Bill Clinton - one of our modern masters of oratory - had to give a standing ovation at one point.
This speech is so epic that the Democrats better get a fucking 20-point bounce in the polls this weekend.
And all the things Obama said was true, and were things I've wanted our leaders to say again and again.
Above all, when the audience started booing Trump's name, Obama said and ad-libbed "Don't boo. Don't boo. VOTE."
YES YES YES YES YES YES.
GODDAMN I WANT TO VOTE OBAMA AGAIN FOR A THIRD TERM. I WILL CHARGE HELL ITSELF FOR THAT MAN.
This night buried Trump. Panetta, and Biden, and Bloomberg, and Kaine, and then Obama all came out with the shovels and buried that con artist on every failure that Trump is guilty of.
Goddamn. I may not get any sleep tonight I AM SO PUMPED FOR THIS I AM AWAITED IN VALHALLA WE WILL ARRIVE SHINY AND CHROME. I HAVEN'T BEEN THIS PUMPED SINCE WATCHING FURY ROAD FIVE TIMES IN THE THEATERS.

Kicked fucking ass. That's my president.
A sensational speech. What a great night. If we don't win after this, shame on us all. With this kind of brilliance in the country, we can't allow a creepy grifter to get in the White House.
Damn, the original video clip died. I NEED TO FIND ANOTHER!!!
As much as I admired the president's speech, which I most assuredly did, it was Biden's passion that stole the night for me.
Yeah, I'm really gonna miss Obama, which feels sort of weird, as I was a Hillary supporter in the '08 primary, but god damn that man can speak. I just believe that the president should be serious about doing the job, and he is. When I find myself disagreeing with him, his seriousness always makes me take a step back and try to look at it from his position. I don't often change my position, but being inspired to take a wider view is almost always a good thing. The lack of such seriousness was what bothered me the most about W.
And I don't think I've ever seen Bill Clinton look as happy as he did watching that speech last night.
Come on all ye Democrats and sane people of every stripe, we can do this, now VOTE GOD DAMN IT!!!
