For all the chatter about trump's tax plan proposal, for any chatter about Ryan's tax plans, just remember one thing:
Republican tax plans are NOT reforms: Republican tax plans are attempts to enrich the greedy, cause massive deficits, and kill government effectiveness all in one single blow.
Republican tax cuts do only one thing well: destroy. The rest are merely details.
They won't admit it, but they're close to realizing how dangerous it is for themselves. It's why they've begun punting the fiscal spending deadlines down the road for a week to avoid shutdowns they know they'll get blamed for.
Welcome back to the Era of Oh God We're Going Over a Cliff.

Tax plan? Not gonna happen. They keep forgetting the rules, like the one that says any bill that would increase the deficit ten years out can't be passed under reconciliation rules in the senate.
Or that the smart economists are pretty much in agreement that the growth numbers they are trying to base their tax plan on can't be reached in the economy as we now see it because, among other things, the workforce isn't replacing itself quickly enough to sustain it and they are tightening immigration too much to allow it to stand in for it.
That is, of course, leaving aside the fact that their growth numbers are all lies based on their supply-side fantasy bullshit that has been proven wrong for decades.
They, of course, don't care. They'll try to sell their tax cut any way they can, because they are mostly just greedy and don't want to have to pay for the society they live in and profit from.
